Job Summary: OnlyGraded, a leading collectibles grading company, is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Card Grader to join our team. As a Card Grader, you will be responsible for examining and evaluating collectible trading cards to assign accurate grades according to industry standards. Your expertise in card conditions, authenticity verification, and grading protocols will play a vital role in maintaining our company's reputation for providing trusted and reliable grading services to collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly examine and evaluate collectible trading cards to determine their condition and authenticity.
• Apply grading standards consistently and accurately to assign appropriate grades to cards.
• Identify and document any defects, imperfections, alterations, or signs of tampering.
• Utilize specialized equipment, such as magnifying lenses, to assess card quality and condition.
• Adhere to strict grading protocols and guidelines established by OnlyGraded.
• Record detailed notes and observations for each card graded.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain consistency in grading practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market values, and evolving grading standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of graded cards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education in a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in grading collectible trading cards, preferably in a professional grading service or similar industry.
• In-depth knowledge of trading card brands, sets, and variations across various collectible categories (sports, gaming, entertainment, etc.).
• Strong understanding of card grading standards of industry-recognized grading systems.
• Familiarity with card condition attributes such as corners, edges, centering, surface, and overall eye appeal.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to discern subtle differences in card quality.
• Proficiency in using specialized grading tools and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for collectibles and an understanding of the value and significance of graded cards.
• Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and delivering high-quality work.

Requirements:

• A portfolio or examples of previous graded cards and your associated grades.
• Willingness to undergo specialized training to ensure consistency with OnlyGraded's grading standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if required.
• Ability to handle delicate and valuable collectibles with care and precision.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform detailed tasks with dexterity.
